We are thrilled to welcome The Last Chance Ragtime Band back to the Oxford Swing Festival! The Last Chance Ragtime Band is a group dedicated to putting jazz on the dance floor. Their musical inspirations are the New Orleans Jazz Bands of Frenchman Street, and LCRB plays music especially crafted for swing dancers from greats such as Jelly Roll Morton, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, Louis Prima, Louis Armstrong and Hoagy Carmichael. They are popular with dancers all over the UK and kept us glued to the dance floor in the past few years. Welcome back chaps!

Howling one man blues band Thomas Ford is from the South West of the UK. He has been playing sold out shows at some of Europe’s biggest and best known blues, jazz and roots music festivals for the last 5 years or so, having established a large following in the UK.
His reputation is for superbly original self-penned blues songs, observant, cynical, loaded with humour, inuendo and rooted in delta blues tradition. His virtuoso bottleneck guitar playing and raucous rack-mounted harmonica are complemented by foot stomped percussion and vocals which are shouted, spat and snarled from an otherwise reserved mouth.

He has recorded & helped produce 4 albums with fellow blues songwriter/guitarist Thomas Ford who has received great acclaim on the European blues circuit in recent years.
A keen collector of vintage American guitars & amplifiers, Vince has become a slightly obsessive expert on Harmony guitars & related brands from the golden age of blues & rock ‘n’ roll.
