Adamo Ciarallo and Vicci Moore

Adamo Ciarallo & Vicci Moore

Originally from Italy, Adamo is full time dance teacher and organiser based in London. He loves the craziness of Lindy Hop, the precision of Balboa and the intensity of Blues dancing. He loves social dancing, competing, listening to music, reading and watching videos. But what makes Adamo’s dancing life worthwhile is the commitment, enthusiasm, energy of his students and everybody else around this beautiful community of dancers.

Vicci is a dancer, teacher and event organiser based in London, UK. There is nothing she loves more in the world than dancing! She has a broad knowledge of dance and the body, training initially as a solo dancer and gaining a 1st class honours degree in Dance and Choreography, and a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology. Her background in a variety of solo dances has been invaluable in her partner dancing, and she approaches her dancing with grace, fluidity and intense body awareness.

Adamo and Vicci joined forces in 2012 to teach regular Lindy and blues classes in London and abroad. Both trained teachers, they love to create new and intuitive ways to communicate technical concepts to their students. Their lessons can be interactive and interdisciplinary involving drawing, discussions, giant elastic bands and even chopsticks!!!

They have an incredible chemistry on the dance floor, bringing intensity, elegance and musicality to the dance. Their passion for dancing is evident in their inspiring classes, giving dynamic and energetic lessons with a focus on creativity, developing a relationship with the music, and encouraging dancers to find their own dancing voice.

They are really excited to be back in Oxford and teach at the first ever Oxford Swing Festival!

Ben Cook and Ash Cochrane

Ben Cook & Ash Cochrane

Benjamin and Ash are both Australian exports who now dance and teach in London. They recently won the Advanced Strictly Lindy at ILHC.

Benjamin
Benjamin originally hails from Melbourne, Australia, where he found swing dancing in 2006. He now lives in London; teaching, performing and travelling the world chasing Lindy Hop. Benjamin is a full time Lindy Hopper and currently runs two weekly swing venues in London, a performance troupe, and has taught in Australia, UK, Ireland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, and Israel. Proud to have come from a background without professional dance training, he has placed in over 30 different competitions around the world, is a 2-time UK Lindy Hop Champion and recently won the Advanced Strictly Lindy at ILHC in 2013. Benjamin’s ability to break down moves and ideas into surprisingly manageable pieces, and attention to personal detail of his students has earned him a reputation as one of the UK’s most prominent instructors. Ben loves to teach people all the things that he loves about swing, and his number one goal is always to show dancers the ways to exceed their own expectations without straying from having fun!

When he’s not on the dance floor he is a hi-fi geek from way back, a Charlie the Unicorn fan, and has an unhealthy obsession with hot cross buns.

Ash
Ash began her dancing life in Australia at the age of 15. Starting with ‘Rock and Roll’ Ash found her love for Swing dancing several years later. With all things now Swing related she is unable to keep herself off the dance floor and loves the fact that she gets to teach and share her passion for Swing dancing with others.

Whilst leading a double life of 9-5 work through the week and dance teacher on weekends; she is always inspiring her students to have fun, be musical and connect with their partners.

Ash is troupe leader for the ‘Dixie Dinahs’ who recently placed first at ESDC in the solo teams division and won the advanced strictly Lindy at ILHC this year.
